A Winter Escape: Baha Mar Bahamas

There’s nothing quite like a tropical getaway in the dead of winter, and I have to say, I was counting down the days all December to swap our dreary Virginia for the sunny Baha Mar Bahamas. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m a bikini and sandals girl over sweaters and boots all day, everyday. Switching seasons for a few days was quite the dream. I feel beyond lucky that my husband is a pilot and that I’m able to tag along on his trips every now and then.

We stayed at the lovely Baha Mar Bahamas which absolutely exceeded all expectations. It truly was a lavish and relaxing experience. As a huge foodie, I usually feel like food at resorts are pretty average, but that was not the case here. Our days started out with an extravagant buffet breakfast at Café Boulud, hours posted up on the white sandy beach, and a cool down at one of the (many) pools, sipping on piña colada’s. Our evening began at one of the too-many-to-count incredible restraunts, margaritas (and of course a cigar for my husband) at the rooftop bar, which then led to over confidently gambling at the casino..which turns out I’m not as lucky as I thought.

A quick trip of a lifetime that has me itching for the summer days ahead.
